Love, Trust and Betrayal

He kissed her on the lips gently, hugged her and whispered gently into her hears saying ‘I missed you, I love you, I thought I was going to die, I can’t live the rest of my life without you.’ He bent low and cleaned her tears; He embraced her tightly while she shed more tears.

They had been having a hard time in their family in the past few weeks and now it’s all over and they are now starting over.

Frank and Juliet have been married for the past five years with a kid and were the happiest couple on the earth, everyday was their honeymoon and were the best of friends. Many couples, even friends envy them and are dying to know their secret. They understand each other. I don’t mean they don’t have disagreements, they do have but their disagreements end at the door of their bedroom.

But two months ago, Juliet’s best friend, Celine has come into the house to live with them, and that marks the beginning of their problems.

For Celine, her mission was to destroy the family and take over the husband, her friend’s husband.

She device many plans of setting Frank up so as to cheat on his wife but all to no avail, she then try to seduce him herself but Frank never fell for any, Celine however told lies about her friend, she accused her of cheating on her husband but Frank never listened, he loved and trusted his wife.

One day while Frank was at work, Celine find a way of making Juliet drunk and then arranged for a man to pose with her on the bed. The mission was successful and all the pictures were sent to her husband. Frank got mad at her and accused her of betrayal; he felt he was so stupid to have trusted her so much. Celine smiled to herself, she thought of how successful the mission was and thought about what her next plan would be.

‘Isn’t she supposed to be your friend? You supposed to protect her as a friend but now you’re backbiting her.’ An argument had ensured between Frank and Celine. ‘But I love you more than she does. She even cheated on you, can’t you see?’ Celine had said. ‘No! I don’t believe you, this is a planned work. My wife has and would never cheat on me.’ Frank had replied. Celine moved closer and tried to kiss him but he pushed her away and stormed out of the room.

Things kept going wrong and Juliet never seize to cry and beg her husband, ‘I don’t know how it happened.’ She had said countless time. Frank trusted her thou but he can’t stop imagining why his wife would deliberately cheat on him.

Just a while, Frank had sneaked to Celine’s door and listened to her conversation on phone with an unknown person. ‘So what do you suggest we do now? After the photos you sent to him the fool still loves his wife. Are you sure you delivered all the photos?’ He had heard her said. He couldn’t take it anymore as he barged into her room. ‘Who are you speaking with?’ He said catching her unaware. She started shaking. “I’m sorry Frank” Celine had said. ‘Sorry about what?’ Frank had replied her. ‘Did you really cause everything that has been happening? Why would you do such a thing to your friend?’ ‘I did it because I love you Frank’. Celine had replied him. ‘Shut your damn mouth and get out of my sight before I change my mind’ Frank had said to her. Celine keeps begin him. Frank barged out of her room to get his phone.

And here comes the cops, ‘take her away’ he said pointing to Celine while she keeps crying. He had called the police when he stormed out of her room. He embraced his wife “I’m sorry” he said, Juliet couldn’t stop but starts to shed tears, they engaged in a long embrace as she shed more tears. It’s over now, he said.
